Yesterday the lantern procession, organized by our son’s daycare center, took place.
How that went is what I am writing about today.
Lantern procession with the daycare center
Weeks beforehand, every kindergarten group had a note with the information on it: The lantern parade will take place on November 10, 2016. Parents could sign up if they wanted to/could take part in making lanterns. We were there on the craft day, but were rudely interrupted . So we made our lanterns at home. By the way, you can read here how our chaos while making lanterns ended.
Still at home
In the afternoon my sister is coming over. She is accompanying us to the lantern parade. Unfortunately, Dad can’t come with us – for work reasons. What a pity. After all, it is our son’s first lantern parade. But what can you do?
I still want to finish a small lantern. So we’ll all finish it together. And it looks really royal, doesn’t it?

The meeting at the daycare center takes place at 5:30 p.m. We – knowing that the little one doesn’t want to be dressed – get ready at 4:45 p.m. We get dressed slowly. Put the batteries in the lanterns. Take tea lights with us. Put in a lighter for the tea lights. Now all that’s left to do is get the little one dressed. JUST. Ha ha!
After I approached the matter with a lot of calm and understanding, and a quarter of an hour has already passed, the little one has his sweater on. Now that’s something! All that’s missing is the lined rain suit, scarf, hat, shoes, gloves…

Eventually we made it, but he actually wanted to put the jacket on belarus mobile database when he was outside in the cold. Then he understood that it was cold outside. REALLY cold! After all, the sun had already set and the wind was blowing, it was really uncomfortable.
Now get in the car and drive to daycare. It’s 5:15 p.m.
A sea of sandwiches
When we arrive at the daycare, the ticket office is already waiting for 6 popovers you need these ingredients : for us in the garden. There is an entrance fee of €3 per child. In return, we receive praise for the great lanterns and a ladybug sticker. The way into the garden is now clear for us. Let’s go!

The nursery garden is large and winding. The older children play dy leads catch in the dark. My little one, on the other hand, wants to be carried all the time. Now I remember what I forgot: the stroller. He hasn’t wanted to be in the baby carrier for a long time. He has recently started to gratefully accept the stroller. It must be because of the soft, cuddly fur that keeps him warm. But now it’s just like that and I carry the little one every minute, sometimes on my left arm, sometimes on my right. He has become really heavy, I notice.
