Once again it was clear that I had to do everything just before the bang.

There are a billion craft ideas for lanterns on the internet. So that the lantern parade becomes something really special! I had about a billion ideas in my head. I wanted to use a lantern made from old stuff that we had lying around. Totally creative .

Yes, but unfortunately things turned out completely differently than planned.

On the day we wanted to make the things at our son’s daycare, first our little one and then my husband and I got the norovirus . We were all laid up.

The chaos begins…

To make sure the chaos could begin, the hot glue gun I bought especially for the occasion was leaking and was leaking everywhere. It was a mess! And an even bigger mess to clean the whole thing.

Only when this construction site was finished could I devote myself to my actual construction site: crafting. Let’s get started! It can’t get any worse!

Unfortunately, I was too lazy to take everything apart again (it takes a lot of time and effort, doesn’t it?), which made the whole thing even more complicated.

I put the glue from our hot glue gun on the inside, but noticed dy leads that the foil I had cut out was a bit too big. It didn’t fit in. So I quickly squeezed the foil in so that the glue didn’t harden.

Unfortunately, it didn’t look very good, as I realized when I took a closer look at my masterpiece. Everything was crumpled and wavy and just looked yucky. So I tried to remove the foil from the adhesive.
